CUT OF THE DAY: THE SKINNY BOYS – “JOCK BOX”
I have to thank Comedy Central’s extremely awesome Workaholics for introducing me to The Skinny Boys in 2011. “Jock Box” is the show’s theme song and it’s a serious jam off the Bridgeport, Connecticut crew’s 1986 debut, Weightless. I love it when an East Coast group from the late 80s wants to get down with The Fat Boys’ sound. Shockin’ Shawn, Superman Jay and The Human Jock Box? Dope names. Six days until Bonnaroo, June is the sixth month and six people dropped acid and got crazy in the Season 3 premiere of Workaholics. It wasn’t the same acid that the cannibal dude from Miami took, but if was effective. After laughing my balls off on Thursday night, this song was the perfect way to welcome my favorite month of 2012. You can ask my wife, I laughed so hard at one point that I almost threw up. Hello June, you’re finally here. I’ve been waiting patiently for you.
